The sun is out this morn. It’s been a long time. It’s above 40 degrees this morn. It’s been awhile for that too. It was warm enough for a little Lake Michigan time this morn. These Cormorants were also out in the sun. They fly so close to the water their wing tips look like they touch.

It’s been 20 degrees below normal for the last two weeks. Always overcast and rain every other day. People (including me) have been a bit crabby. I’ve been on a bike twice in the last 14 days. And I know I have said this before but…

It seems things are turning the corner this week. Upper 50’s to low 60’s the next ten days. That beats the crap out of upper 30’s to low 40’s. Im trying to stay optimistic.

Saturday morn was the only day I rode this weekend. Did the group ride with a few others but had to cut it short to work. It was cold but at least it was not raining. Being a stubborn guy I refused to put on any winter clothing. I was cold. But didn’t really care anymore.

Sunday I woke to rain and wet streets. So I went to the store to try and get some paperwork done. I can do that much better when the store is closed. Soon it will be open on Sundays too. But then around noon it seemed to stop raining and the streets dried up so since I didn’t have any riding stuff with me I took the Domane home to ride from the house.

But that didn’t happen as the temps seemingly knew I wanted to ride and dropped into the low 40’s so I bailed. And spent the rest of the day on the couch. I need to stop doing that.

But this morn the temps are up and the sun is out so things are looking up. Every day seems to be a few degrees warmer than the prior. Hope fully I’ll get more time on the bike during the week and not just on weekends. Just a couple of degrees warmer and I’ll even start riding home and back from work. As usual, I have huge spring ambitions on the bike.

That’s the easy part. I just need to do them.
